Good Fork Daily respects your privacy. This page explains what information may be collected when you visit goodforkdaily.com, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information you provide
If you use the Contact page, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you submit. We use that information to read and reply to your request. Please do not send sensitive personal information through the form.
If you use a “Save this recipe” or recipe-newsletter form, we receive your email address, any first name you choose to provide, the recipe connected to your request, the date of your request and your subscription status. We use this information to email the requested recipe and, with the consent disclosed beside the form, send new Good Fork Daily recipe updates. Every recipe email includes an unsubscribe link.
If you rate a recipe, we store the star rating and submission time so that it can be included in the public average. The recipe-rating feature does not require your name or email address and does not retain your plain network address.
If comments are enabled on a future article, WordPress may collect the information shown in the comment form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser details to help detect spam. The site currently does not require an account for ordinary reading.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, including IP address, browser type, referring page, requested pages, timestamps and error information. These records are used for security, reliability and troubleshooting.
To protect the administration area, the site records failed login attempts and may temporarily process an IP address and browser details to apply login lockouts. This information is used only for site security.
The site uses WordPress and may set essential cookies needed for administration, security or features you choose to use. If analytics or advertising services are enabled, this policy and any consent controls will be updated to describe them. Google Site Kit is installed, but individual Google services only collect data when they are connected and configured.
Embedded content and outside links
Articles may link to or embed content from other websites. Those services can collect data under their own privacy policies. Good Fork Daily is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of outside websites.
How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that help operate the website, deliver email, prevent spam or secure the site. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the site and its users.
Data retention and security
Contact messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain business records or meet legal obligations. Active recipe-subscriber records are retained while the subscription remains active. If you unsubscribe, a minimal suppression record may be retained so we can honor that choice. No online system is perfectly secure, but we use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards.
Your choices
You can stop recipe updates at any time using the unsubscribe link in an email. You may also ask about, correct or request deletion of personal information you submitted to us, subject to records we must retain for legal, security or operational reasons. Use the Contact page to make a request.
Children
Good Fork Daily is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy as the site and its services change. The effective date at the top will show the latest revision.
