Ingredients

  • 1 cup ultra-filtered 2% milk 240 milliliters
  • 1/2 cup 2% cottage cheese 113 grams
  • 1 scoop vanilla whey or whey-casein protein powder about 30 grams
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup 40 grams
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 5 milliliters
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine salt
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons milk for Re-spin only if needed

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Standard 16-ounce pint compatible with the CREAMi model
  • Ninja CREAMi machine
  • Measuring spoons

Method

  1. Use a pint specifically compatible with your CREAMi model and confirm its maximum fill line.
  2. Blend milk, cottage cheese, protein powder, maple syrup, vanilla and salt for 45 to 60 seconds until completely smooth.
  3. Pour below the maximum fill line, tap out large bubbles and secure the storage lid.
  4. Freeze upright on a flat shelf for at least 24 hours so the surface is level.
  5. Remove lid and confirm the block is level and evenly frozen; scrape only a small soft peak level if needed.
  6. Install according to the model guide and use the model-appropriate program, commonly Lite Ice Cream on compatible machines.
  7. If uniformly crumbly, make a narrow well, add 1 tablespoon milk and Re-spin once; add the second tablespoon only if still dry.
