Ingredients

  • 1 small green cabbage about 1 1/2 pounds
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice or apple cider vinegar

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Chef's knife
  • Cutting board
  • Pastry brush or mixing bowl

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F for 3 minutes.
  2. Remove loose outer leaves. Cut through the core into eight compact wedges, leaving enough core to hold each wedge together.
  3. Brush all cut surfaces with oil. Mix paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper, then season both sides.
  4. Place wedges cut-side down in one layer. Do not add detached leaves that could lift toward the element.
  5. Air fry 8 minutes, turn carefully, then cook 6 to 8 minutes until the core is tender and edges are browned.
  6. Drizzle with lemon juice or vinegar and serve hot.
