Pat the wings very dry. Preheat the air fryer to 360°F if recommended.
Mix baking powder, garlic, onion, 1 teaspoon lemon pepper, salt and black pepper. Toss with the wings in a thin coating.
Place the wings in one uncrowded layer.
Cook at 360°F for 12 minutes. Turn and cook for 10 minutes more.
Increase to 400°F, turn and cook for 5 to 8 minutes, until crisp and at least 165°F.
Stir melted butter, lemon juice, zest and remaining lemon pepper.
Toss safely cooked wings lightly with the butter and serve immediately.
