Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk or half-and-half
  • 1 teaspoon butter softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons shredded cheddar optional

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • 6-inch heat-safe pan that fits the basket
  • Whisk
  • Silicone spatula

Method

  1. Confirm the pan is air-fryer and oven safe and that air can move around it. Butter the inside.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 300°F for 3 minutes with the empty pan inside.
  3. Whisk eggs, milk, salt and pepper until no streaks remain.
  4. Carefully pour into the hot pan and cook 3 minutes.
  5. Pull set edges toward the center. Cook 2 minutes, stir again and add cheese if using.
  6. Cook 1 to 3 minutes more, stopping while the eggs still look softly glossy. Stir and rest 1 minute.
