Ingredients

  • 12 ounces breakfast sausage links or patties raw or fully cooked; check label
  • 1 teaspoon neutral oil only if the basket tends to stick

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Instant-read thermometer
  • Tongs

Method

  1. Read the package to determine whether the sausage is raw or fully cooked and whether it is pork or poultry.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F for 3 minutes.
  3. Place links or patties in one layer with a small gap. Do not pierce links.
  4. Cook raw links 9 to 12 minutes or patties 8 to 11 minutes, turning halfway.
  5. Cook fully cooked links or patties 6 to 8 minutes, turning once.
  6. Raw pork sausage should reach 160°F; raw poultry sausage should reach 165°F. Rest 3 minutes.

Notes

  • Read relevant ingredient labels and the manual for any appliance used.
  • Begin checking at the early end of the time range.
  • The chart lists ground meats at 160°F and all poultry at 165°F; the package identifies the meat and whether the sausage is raw.
